India Post Recruitment 2020 - 2582 Vacancies GDS, 10th pass can apply, Apply Online

India Post has published a notification for recruitment to the post of Gramin Dak Sevak (GDS) in Jharkhand, Punjab and North East Circle. Interested candidates can apply to the posts through the online mode at appost.in from 12 November 2020 to 11 December 2020.

Total 2582 vacancies have been notified for the Post of Gramin Dak Sevaks in Jharkhand and Punjab Circle out of which 1118 vacancies are for Jharkhand Circle, 516 are for Punjab Circle and 948 Vacancies for North East.

Eligibility: Candidates seeking to apply for India Post GDS Recruitment 2020 should be Class 10th passed and must have a compulsory knowledge of local Language and studied the local language at least up to Class 10.

No written exam will he held for above posts. Selection will be done based on percentage of marks obtained in Class 10. Your higher qualification will not matter in the recruitment process. However, it is mandatory for candidates to have passed in Math, English and local language in their matric exam.

Age Limit:18 to 40 years (There will be age relaxation for the reserved category candidates as per government norms)

Applications fees: The candidates belonging to UR/OBC/EWS Male/Transman will have to pay Rs 100 as application fee, while SC/ST/Female/Transwoman/PWD candidates have been exempted from paying fee. Fee can be paid online through net banking, credit card/debit card. Offline payments can be made at any Head Post Office.

Selection Criteria: Selection will be made as per the automatically generated merit list as per the rules based on the candidates online submitted applications.

Interested candidates can apply online on or before 11 December 2020 at appost.in. After submitting the online application, the candidates can take a printout of the online application for future reference.

STEP 1. Registration Initially candidate has to register in the Registration module once per cycle and obtain unique registration number

STEP 2. Fee Payment UR/OBC/EWS Male/Trans-man need to make fee payment. In Case of online payment, if no confirmation is received after the deduction of amount from candidate's bank account, candidates can await upto 72 Hours for settlement.
